My first buy was a Hohner B2A headless 4 strings, then a Washburn Bantam headless 4 strings too (my first 'real' sensations, then with the help of overabuse I got a first generation Warwick Fortress active/passive 4 strings, the one I used most for long, and an old Leduc from 1984-5. This last one is the funkiest. On the Warwick I installed a Kahler tremolo for the fun and the phrase. I acquired a used Wal 5 strings to understand what it means to have more than 4 strings, and then a second-hand 6 stringer Warwick Thumb, the one I use most now. Looking for the acoustic sound, I got a Lark In The Morning in San Francisco a while back, then finally a Godin A5. Ma première basse fût une Fender Jazz Bass, empruntée à ma high school. Ma première achetée sera un Hohner B2A 4 cordes headless, puis une Washburn Bantam headless 4 cordes (mes premières sensations), suite à son âge et usure prématurée je passe sur une Warwick Fortress passive/active 4 cordes de la première fournée, celle que j'ai longtemps utilisé le plus, puis une vieille Leduc datant de 1984-5. La Leduc est ma basse la plus fonque. Sur la Warwick j'installe un trémolo Kahler pour le fun et le phrasé. J'ai finalement acheté une Wal 5 cordes d'occase pour comprendre comment ça marche à plus de 4 cordes, et une Warwick Thumb 6 cordes d'occase. Ensuite pour goûter au son acousitque, j'ai acheté une Lark In The Morning à San Francisco, puis finalement une Godin A5. the effects / les effets The electronic equipment resumes itself to a Korg A2-Lexicon JamMan with everything or almost becomes possible. The second rack is made of a Lexicon Vortex, a Peavey Analog Filter, a Digidesign Studio 400, a DBX 166A and a patch bay. For the recordings a Sony MDM-X4, and for the rythm a good old Roland R8 (dance cartridge !!!). For the amplification section, a Gallien Krueger MB150S for the compact and round sound as well as microphone recordings (the most versatile combo to my taste), a SWR SM900 head (the craziest preamp and hundreds of watts of power to backup) for live performances and biiiiig sound, two EBS Electro-Voiced to scream the power out. A Laney 100W head amp and his vintage speaker (4x12'') for the mid saturated sound. A Senheiser 521 for the mike takes, the indispensable effect pedals are the Boss PW1 Wah, the MXR compressor, the DOD Grunge and the Jim Dunlop Rotovibe. L'équipement électronique se résume surtout à un bloc Korg A2-Lexicon JamMan avec lequel tout (ou presque) est faisable. Le deuxième rack se compose d'un Lexicon Vortex, Digidesign Studio 400, DBX 150 et d'un patch bay. Un ampli tête à lampes 100W de chez Laney et sa colonne vintage 4x12'' pour le son mid saturé. Le micro de prise est un Senheiser, les pédales d'effets indispensables en plus sont la PW1 Boss Wah (trop), le compresseur MXR, la grunge de chez DOD.
